Accommodation in Aspen

Despite its reputation as a hideaway for the rich and famous, Aspen’s accommodation isn’t all as highly priced as you might expect. While blow-out condos and hotels are in abundance, there are also plenty of B&Bs to suit a more modest budget.

If you’re looking for the ultimate Aspen experience, several operators offer private, catered chalets complete with fireplaces and hot tubs which are ideal for group-bookings. Otherwise, hotels such as Little Nell, located near the gondola, include in-room fireplaces, as well as hot tub and sauna facilities. Less modern is Jerome, which is regarded as something of a town treasure. The beautiful Victorian-esque hotel might ooze old-school glamour, but it has all the modern conveniences you’d expect, and more besides, including Jacuzzi jets in the baths of some of the pricier rooms and a spa with Pilates studio and tennis court facilities.

At the other end of the price scale, many of the town’s cosy lodges also offer the kind of superstar features you’d expect in Aspen; hot tubs are a standard feature of the better venues. Try Molly Gibson Lodge, Limelight Lodge and St Moritz Lodge for a pocket-friendly taste of the high life.
