The road system around the Aosta Valley is extensive, connecting via the A5 motorway to Turin via Pont St Martin and to Milan 164 kms away via the A4. By road from France or Switzerland, the Gran San Bernardo and Monte Bianco tunnels give access to the main SS26 and 27 highways. Train travel to Courmayeur from London is via the Eurostar to Paris, transferring to the high-speed TGV train to Aosta and onwards by bus.

Lift passes here can be used under certain circumstances in other Aosta Valley resorts or in Chamonix, although the system is complicated and hinges on the number of days purchased. Discounts for youngsters, seniors and groups are usually available, and children under six accompanied by a fee-paying adult go free. At present, the 2011 life pass charges and discounts are not available online.
