Val d’Isere Ski Accommodation

Val d’Isere Ski Accommodation

Val d’Isere village is the typical, picturesque Alpine mountain village, romantic and charming with its catered and self-catering chalets and even its larger hotels merging with the general atmosphere. Accommodation from luxury to plain, warm and comfortable is everywhere, with most places offering part board and chalets sleeping from two to 15 people. The town centre, with its direct lift access and nightlife, is the most expensive location, with La Daille the bargain basement end of town with good lift connections – great for serious skiers rather than party people. There’s even a French YCPA all-inclusive hostel in the town centre with dorms catering for 18 to 40 year olds at a steal of a price.

Self-catering is a good option as it allows for meals out as well as quiet evenings in after a painfully challenging day on the slopes. Apartments are available to rent, and a number of bed-and-breakfasts provide an economic option. Room rates range from around €50 to a great deal more, with the quality of the skiing facilities and the ambience pushing prices above the average French ski resort. All-inclusive package deals can spread the financial load, but careful checking for exact content is recommended. Late availability websites are also worth investigating as discounts can be considerable.
