Accommodation in Les Arcs

Apartments dominate the accommodation scene in Les Arcs. Most chalets are divided into several apartments, although there are a few chalets that can be hired out in their entirety. Peisey-Vallandry has most of the catered chalets, while Arc 1800 and 2000 – the two liveliest Arcs for shopping and nightlife – are where most of the apartments are clustered. Most of these apartments are spacious and well-equipped and often share a pool with the other apartments in the chalet. Inevitably, that means chalet parties are a common occurrence among the younger crowds!

Accommodation is generally high-quality and comfortable, with unexpected touches of pure luxury, such as saunas, hot tubs and pools being fairly commonplace. However, it’s best to do some homework, as many of the older apartments are quite small and outdated; fine for those on a budget, but not so good if expecting a swanky chalet apartment.

Hotels are fairly few and far between in Les Arcs, but that’s all changing as each season seems to see a new three-star option spring up. However, there are enough chalet apartments to go around, and – unusually for a resort in the French Alps – plenty of options whatever the budget level.
