Accommodation in St Anton

St Anton is crammed into a long, narrow valley containing a mix of traditional and more modern buildings, pinched in at the middle section before broadening out into the suburb of Nasserein. The edges of the village climb the mountain at overdorf and Gastig, a short walk for the main downtown street. At more of a distance are the suburbs of Moos and Dengert, set on the slopes themselves and connected by the free ski buses. Wherever you choose to stay, there’s a great selection of lodgings to suite all pockets at comparatively lower prices than at other Austrian and French resorts. Hotels, self-catering and catered chalets, apartments, guesthouses and bed and breakfasts all greet visitors with the quintessential Austrian ‘gemutlichkeit’ – welcome.

Dominated by one five-star and several more four-star luxury hotels offering wellness spas, hot tubs, saunas, pools and all the usual trimmings, St Anton is diversifying into designer and boutique hotels as demand increases. Apart from these, a vast number of smaller hotels and slightly more basic lodgings take care of all financial needs. The pedestrianised centre of the village is best for lift access and nightlife, although the rest of the areas are only up to 15 minute’s walk away. For a quieter setting, the quaint villages of Suben and St Christophe are seven and 12 kms away, offering comfortable hotel accommodation.
