Accommodation in Ischgl

In spite of Ischgl’s upscale image, fostered by its hip five-star luxury hotels, boutique and designer resorts, there’s plenty of accommodation here at all levels, including catered and self-catered chalets, loads of apartments and inns down to simple and welcoming  ‘Garni’ budget bed and breakfast places. For those looking for an experience rather than just a skiing holiday, the targeted upmarket options include wellness and other themed resort hotels with every possible luxury including on-site nightlife just a short step from your suite.

The resort has no less than 33 four-star lodgings and one stunning five-star hotel, the Trofana Royal, one of the best in Austria. Another favourite is the four-star ‘Zen minimalist’ Madlein Hotel in the centre. For the rest of the world, comfortable hotels and lodging locations close to the lifts and gondolas are a priority, with the largely pedestrianised centre of town the best place for lift access and a good number of slope-side hotels, chalets and apartments to choose from. Even the bed and breakfast Garnis here get stars, with 77 rating three to four stars. However, when all’s said and done, the resort was originally designed to cater for the wealthy end of the market, and it’s sticking with that intention.
