Igls general information

One of Igls’ greatest selling points is its incredibly short transfer times. For a cheap, last-minute break, Igls should be the number one choice. Fly to Innsbruck city, mere minutes away from the tiny town of Igls. Igls has the bonus of feeling like a remote village, while being close to the conveniences of the city; it’s just a hop away from the airport, making it one of the only resorts that make a realistic option for a weekend getaway.

Low-cost carriers including British Airways, Easy Jet and Monarch all fly to Innsbruck a couple of times a week from London Gatwick to Innsbruck, or those who are more picky about their flight time can hop on a train at the busier airports of Salzburg and Munich to get to Innsbruck in just two hours from Salzburg. From Innsbruck, Lech is just nine miles away and can be reached by taxi, bus or hire car. It’s as easy as that!

Igls’ small size has the benefit that the lift pass is great value. There is a reasonable daily rate for adults, while children’s passes are 50 per cent less.
